So, I changed the plugs, tweaked the mix a bit, took her over the hill to Genoa, the oldest town in Nevada.. It was a really nice ride, perfect weather, bike was fine. Lots of bugs, though. After mucking around with the bag mounts on Teresa's new Star 950 crusier, for nearly two hours , they decided , it was too hot to ride (98.f in Kingman)so I headed up 66 alone. Temps dropped steadily, as I proceeded to gain altitude . Finally dropping to 88.F in Seligman. I had a late lunch and regretted it . There are no good eateries in Seligman. I should have waited ... Turns like a mofo, but short geared an gutless as all heck. I felt like I had to paddle faster or something. A girl I know needed her bike fixed. 4 years and 450 miles. Poor thing sat in the garage for 6 months under a blanket. Replaced the battery, drained the carbs, filled the tires, gave her a shot of seafoam and a gallon of 91.. Took about 2 hours total. Made the girl's day.. Heck, I haven't made a girl that happy in ages! ...
