I've had a pretty bad day today. Dexter, my 8 year old Blue Heeler just hasn't been himself lately and on top of that, he's had a pretty bad sinus infection. So yesterday, I loaded him up in the car and took him to the vet. One of his symptoms was pretty bothersome to me. He's been losing weight and drinking excessive amounts of water. In my human clinical experience, that tells me "diabetes".

Well, today I got the call confirming that but had a few added surprises. Dexters ...

Jeff Swan Phone Call

Rick G. told me about this site but I wasn't able to find it until ROV came back up. Yesterday while searching for it I was reading some old magazine articles about the Vision and ran across a telephone number for a Jeff Swan in Mo. and I called it not expecting to get anyone connected with visions. I talked with an extremely nice person for a few minutes until I was afraid that I was wearing him out. Jeff Swan said he had just came home from the hospital with bloodclots on the lungs. I don't ...

I did the carbs on my VX800 , this thing is weirder than the Vision! The front carb is down draft, similar to those used on the Honda V45. It has a plastic float. They might be a place to start, if your determined to change the carbs on the Vision.

The rear carb is a side draft , it has a brass float and is not in the least similar to the front carb!

Syncronization is accomplished by a cable that links the two together. Must have been designed by a guy named Rube Goldberg!!

Soon I hope ...

It happens every year, the family garage sale, and every time I put a for sale sign on YJ in order to please my wife by at least making an effort to sell her ( the bike, not my wife - although the thought has crossed my mind)

Anyway, I put a sign on her describing all her attributes, all the work I've done and what I have left to do, as well as all the upgrades such as the 83 front end, shark fairing, monoshock, bags and lights. The sign also said $5500.00 Cash/FIRM - Serious offers only. ...

I went nuts over the weekend and bought TWO bikes ( had to borrow the money to get the second one), I hope the weather heats up , or I'm in trouble!

I drove to Lost Wegas and bought a VX800 Suzuki, its amazing what you can do with a 1982 Dodge D150 and an old trailer! I always wanted a VX800, It was 500.00 Needs a lot! The carbs are off now and I hope to dip them tomorrow. If you think the vision carbs are a pain ,you wouldn't like this bike . The carbs are nuts , the sync is done with a cable ...
