However, I can add things to the site via links that allow me to expand the site without exceeding the free sites limitations.

I'm in the process of creating a photo gallery page to post all our pictures on and will link it to the site. I have a huge amount of space on one of my google accounts so I'm ...

But the high beam went out, on my 2 month old bulb, at first I thought it must be the switch or a bad connection, but no , its the new bulb!! Rats!!

Then there was the problem with the voltage indicator , or rather the problem was with the stator.

So, not wanting to spend lots of money on gas , I rode the Vision down to the river.

My carb rubbers are pretty badly perished on my XZ400 Vision. As they seem to be unobtainable I had the idea of fabricating a side draught manifold from aluminium tubing and flat plate and fitting a single CV carb off something like a 400-500cc single. Has anyone tried something like this or is it just one of those stupid ideas I should have kept to myself?

I've narrowed it down to a few kits and am going to go with either fork tube mount or engine bar mount...most likely the engine bars. I did find one set that bolts to the caliper bolts which would have been very nice but being priced at more than my bike is worth, it was out of the question.

Heres some parts I need to get rid of...and raise a little cash for the unexpected increase in the cost of my saddle bag mounting job.

Item #1 is a stock 82 unmodified airbox. The box is in great shape with very good rubber velocity stacks and the foam on top of the box is in great shape.

Item #2 Is a Yamaha Horn cover. Its in great shape and I think I have the bolts for it too...somewhere, but I'll find them.

Items #3 are 83 front calipers. I have the slider ...

All I can think of saying is......WOW! I got YJ back from Schraders Custom Cycles (the ONLY work that I did not do on YJ) where Mark Schrader custom modified the saddle bag brackets to Fit YJ. Theres some good news and some bad.

First, the good.

The job is done. He did a fantastic job and it looks better than factory. The way he worked the brackets to fit the bike makes them look like they were made for it. It ended up being a much bigger job than anticipated and it may be a while ...

Now that that hardbags are all done, I can focus on some of the other little projects I need to do.

First up is lighting. I'm going to finish the driving lights this weekend and as soon as the rear, red running lights arrive, mount them on the saddle bags just below my turn signals.

After that, I'll probably take things apart and finally install my 83 rear shock. With the added weight of the saddle bags and their contents, its now on the must do list.

This winter, I'll probably ...

It is this selfless mentality that binds us all as Vision owners...a modern day "One for all and all for one" attitude.

Now that the ROV is back up, ( http://www.ridersofvision.net/ ), I see no reason to abandon this site...infact, we should continue to support both sites with the same passion...( and ALL Vision related sites) as we strive to keep these much loved ...

I have a novice question that I'm sure is answered on RoV.

I recently was able to get my Vision running. I did a fair amount of riding last fall and this spring. Yesterday was the first time that I rode this motorcycle in relatively hot weather (95 degrees F) to a party. There was little stopping, mostly freeway and 40 mph in town. After about 25 minutes of riding, the temp gauge climbed about to about 7/8 towards the red zone and stayed there. This was the first time this has happened. ...
