My initial assumption was that the petcock was leaking through the primer opening and draining into the engine but when I set the petcock to "on" is seals tight and there is no leaking at all through the prime gas line. I got YJ back from Schraders Custom Cycles (the ONLY work that I did not do on YJ) where Mark Schrader custom modified the saddle bag brackets to Fit YJ. Theres some good news and some bad. Its broken. Both pistons are stuck but whats new. They CAN be unstuck. 83 OEM Brake lines. Noth a big demand for these but they have the "junction" and its in good shape. "YAMAHA" tail peice logo in PRISTINE condition. Hard to find item in this good ... My name is Dave and I live in Maine. I have been interested in the Vision for a long time. I've actually only seen one in person. Guy was surprised that I even knew what it was. If anyone knows of one for sale relatively close to southern Maine, I'd appreciate some info.

The front carb is down draft, similar to those used on the Honda V45. It has a plastic float. They might be a place to start, if your determined to change the carbs on the Vision. The rear carb is a side draft , it has a brass float and is not in the least similar to the front carb! Syncronization is accomplished by a cable that links the two together. Must have been designed by a guy named Rube Goldberg!! Soon I hope ...
